Investment in post-2003 Iraq refers to international efforts to rebuild the infrastructure of Iraq since the Iraq War in 2003.
Along with the economic reform of Iraq, international projects have been implemented to repair and upgrade Iraqi water and sewage treatment plants, electricity production, hospitals, schools, housing, and transportation systems. Much of the work has been funded by the Iraq Relief and Reconstruction Fund, and the Coalition Provisional Authority

Most praised the accomplishments of the coalition to date, citing myriad improvements, and were optimistic about the future. However, some committee members and witnesses expressed concerns that a serious safety and security problem still existed in Iraq, and that the procedure used to award reconstruction contracts was not in the best interest of the American taxpayer. Bush's Fiscal Incompetence, in Iraq as in America

An example of why the United States economy suffered during the eight year Bush administration. The fiscal policies prevalent in the Iraq war and reconstruction mirrored the fiscal policies leveled on the American homeland. And, this is an example of what the incoming administration is forced to deal with abroad as well as here at home as America struggles onward.
